The fundamentals of bodywork in a nutshell is a relatively simple process - Assess, Palpate, Treat, Integrate.
The complexity lies within HOW we execute each phase that suits our speciality, and modify it for each client?

Most chronic pain and injuries can stem from 2 sources: (1) Physical trauma/movement compensation/poor body mechanics creating extra strain = wear and tear on tissues faster than they can heal. Or (2) emotional/psychosomatic trauma creating physical symptoms of pain that’s “unexplained” in traditional medicine. This workshop is for the first pattern.
I see movement as a catalyst, when done right, it can help heal, build strength, increase metabolism, mood, circulation etc. But when done wrong, it can damage tissues and reduce the rate of healing.
How I treat is to help first restore functional anatomy through bodywork, then integrate with breath work, rehab to correct imbalances, then strength training for them to continue their progress.
Over 15 years I’ve been a bodyworker and movement rehab specialist, working with over 1500 people, I’ve seen very similar patterns arise in 80% of my clients.
The goal of this workshop is to teach you how to explore and dive deeper on assessments, palpation, treatment and integration into real life applications you can hopefully start integrating immediately.
Here’s what you’ll be learning:
ASSESS:
Learn WHAT to look for in Orthopedic Assessments of the Main Joints in the Body. Ankles, Knees, Hips, Spine, Shoulders and Neck. How to spot potential compensations and feel them on the table.
PALPATE:
Learn how to FEEL the different qualities of Tissues and Joints. Tight, Gritty, Sticky, Dense, Undertone, Weak, Wiry, Dehydrated, Puffy, Wobbly, Jammed? Do you know what you’re touching? Can you feel the muscle relax or are you forcing it?
TREAT:
If you can FEEL the tension in tissues, Releasing and treating them does NOT require any fancy technique. I’ll show you plenty but my goal is to help you build the hands to explore how the tissues respond to your touch.
BASIC PROTOCOLS:
I’ll have basic protocols/guidelines of treatments for the main issues we stumble across: Like Low back pain, shoulder, knee, hip, elbows and neck.
Not to follow like a bible but let you at least have a framework that covers 70% of issues.
BODYMECHANICS:
How to stack your joints and learn how to be efficient and make your bodymechanics to the majority of the work so you can save your joints and not waste energy treating.
I guarantee, It’s going to be A LOT, be prepared to be overwhelmed with information but the intent is to give you the tools that make you think deeper on how to apply what you learned and make sense of it all.
Feel free to ask questions, record videos, pictures, make me repeat. It’s going to be very integrative, collaborative and hopefully you’ll gain a much deeper insight to the potential of where bodywork can take you.
I’ll provide Powerpoint slides/Course Materials and protocols for you to be able to reference.
And we can feel free to hang out after, I have a Sauna, Cold Pluge and Pool we can chill and talk shop after if ya’ll not too burnt our after :)
